Zoe Choy O’Byrne was chosen in a collaborative project with the National College of Art and Design in 2016. She then went to New York to take part in the graduate program working with a digital fabric printing studio.

Her rug collection ‘Hot drinks’ is influenced by the eclectic variety of coffee and tea in our homes. The colours bring a lively atmosphere into the home combined with the interaction of shape and line in her work.

‘Motion’ and ‘Metro’ were added to her collection in 2021 nfluenced by Zoe’s time in New York. They explore the theme of movement, inspired by the overground subway that passed right outside her window. The rugs observe the shadows and soothing chugging vibrations caused by the passing trains capturing a sense of playful movement and an energy of discovery.
